Labiaplasty Surgery

Labiaplasty is a surgical procedure that can reduce, enhance, restore and/or reshape the labia minora. In some instances, women with large labia experience pain & discomfort during intercourse, or feel discomfort during everyday activities, exercising, biking, or when wearing tight-fitting clothing . Others may have a self-confidence issue, feel unattractive, or just wish to enhance how they feel about themselves& thus their sexual experience. The ultimate goal of labiaplasty is achieve an aesthetic and functrional “normalcy” or ideal, which should appear as though the women “was born that way. Though in some cases the cause is genetic, most often it is of unknown etiology.

Labia Minora (inner lips) Reduction

Many women dislike the appearance of their labia minora. One side may be larger, or different in shape than the other. Often they are large, thick, butterfly and may have very dark edges. This may cause severe embarrassment or make them feel uncomfortable with their sexual partner. Large labia minora can also result in constant irritation in tight pants or exercise clothing or when biking, running, or on exercise equipment. Surgical labia reduction (when done properly by a skilled Female Genital Cosmetic Surgeon) can greatly improve the aesthetic appearance & function.

Best Candidates:
Women who are either experiencing self esteem issues, sexual dysfunction or embarrassment because of their perception (aesthetics) of their labia (labia minora) ((either size, shape, color, thickness etc.)). Women usually return to work 3 – 4 days after surgery. Most resume normal sexual activities in 5 – 6 weeks. As with any surgery, complete healing is 13 weeks (3 months).

Vaginoplasty (rejuvenation or tightening of the vagina)

For women who’ve experienced multiple childbirths, difficult childbirth, one very large baby vaginally or sometimes “just born” that way, vaginal muscles tear and stretch due to stressful expansion during the delivery. The result often is loose, weak, vaginal muscles. Because they are stretched and torn, (Kegal), exercise does little for the condition of the vaginal muscles. Many women find that while the experience of childbirth may be the most rewarding of their lives, sometimes the after effects for both their sexual partner and themselves is not as satisfying as it once was.

Vaginoplasty, sometimes referred to as vaginal rejuvenation of the vagina, is a procedure that corrects, restores, or “rejuvenates” the problem of stretched & torn vaginal muscles resulting from childbirth(s), and is a direct means of enhancing one’s sexual life once again. The procedure completely rebuilds and restores the vagina, perineum, and vaginal vault to a “pre-pregnancy” state, resulting in greater contraction strength and control, restoring greater sensation (and tightness) during sexual experiences.
